Alfie dormand

Alfie dormand is a regular 8 year old boy who loves adventure buses, cars and flamingos. He also has a very rare condition called L1 syndrome and hydrocephalus which means that he struggles with alot of things mainly getting around as he needs to use a wheelchair, he also finds things like using a pen or pencil very difficult.

But he has an amazing imagination and loves writing stories on the computer he wrote his first story age 6 about a crocodile who takes all his friends out on a day trip to the beach.

Then he started writing the book, The monkeys that stole a bus, whilst he was shielding in lock down. It was inspired by his trip to Paignton zoo before lock down when he saw how cheeky the monkeys were and he fell in love with the flamingos.

He draws all his own pictures for his stories which he likes to make sure they look just right by checking on Google that the images are correct he puts in a lot of hard work, making and writing his story for everyone to read and enjoy.
