Ross Alan Hahn lives in mainland Gloucester, Massachusetts, on beautiful Cape Ann. He is an author, performing guitarist, composer, music instructor, and, a lifelong cat lover.
Ross was born in Normal, Illinois and moved about the midwest and eastern states as his parents, professors both, moved between teaching positions. Eventually settling in Newtonville, Massachusetts, Ross attended Newton North High School and upon graduation attended Bridgewater State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in English. Having developed as guitarist during his college years, Ross began an active music career that continues to this day.
He was happily married to his wife Audrey, a fine musician in her own right, until her passing in 2016. Their band of 20 years, the “Psychedelic Relics”, maintains a busy concert schedule performing music from the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s with Ross as lead guitarist.
Bringing his love of music to Shore Country Day School in Beverly, MA in 2012, he continues to present guitar instruction to students grades 1-9 to this day.
Today, his love of music is matched only by his love of creative writing. His first novel for children, “The Adventures of Angel: A Kitten’s Story” is an allegory about a kitten who grows to embrace friendship, self-confidence and bravery. The novel is a gift to the daughter he never had.
