Mr. Gabriel C. Morales

Gabe Morales grew up in Yakima and Seattle, WA, where he witnessed first-hand the activity of all sorts of criminal groups. Gabe worked at Folsom State prison in California for six years as a Corrections Officer where he became very familiar with prison gangs. He worked with youth in Los Angeles group homes and gang members on probation. Gabe worked as a C/O at the King Co. Jail in Seattle, WA for just over a year before being promoted to the Classification Section where he worked for over 20 years interviewing and documenting criminal background information on thousands of inmates and criminal suspects. He later became a Classification Unit Supervisor and shared intel with local, state, and national agencies. He was also a Shift Commander/LT at the ICE facility in Tacoma, WA. Gabe was a Gangs Instructor for 20 years at the WA State Academy for police agencies and corrections staff and taught at numerous conferences around the country including speaking at the 2025 CA Gang Inv Asoc. Conf. and presenting at the Mob Museum in Las Vegas. al Justice Solutions. He was a Founder and past Advisor for the Int’l Latino Gang Investigators Association. Gabe is also the author of numerous criminal justice articles and is a frequent college and national lecturer. He has appeared on the Biography Channel covering the Aryan Brotherhood, VICE TV "Gangs of America" series, and Police1 Gangs videos. In 2007, he was appointed on the WA Gang Study Group by politicians in Olympia, WA, and serves as an Advisor and Consultant to many criminal justice groups. In 2008, Gabe was named “Best Expert at Keeping Kids Off the Street” by Seattle Weekly. In 2010, he received a Diversity Award from King County-DAJD and has received multiple other awards for his professional and personal work. Gabe has written over a dozen books about crime and gang violence.
