I work as a Computing Inspector/Advisor for Hampshire Inspection and Advisory Service (HIAS). Helping schools understand the computing curriculum as well as developing exciting programmes of study. I write lots of curriculum which you can find on my code-it website and Hampshire's computing moodle. As well as Inspecting and advising I also teach at two Hampshire Schools, Ringwood Junior & Otterbourne Primary. Through HIAS, I provide a range of courses, consultancy, inset days, conferences keynotes and seminars to help schools make the best use of computing. If you want to discuss your computing support needs get in touch.

I am particularly excited about my latest series of Scratch programming books which help non specialist teachers teach programming using PRIMM. These are unique because they combine research methodolgy with detailed classroom support notes based on classroom practice. Pupils predict, investigate and modify code before programming their own projects. This gradual reduction of scaffolds is both easier to teach and leads to greater pupil programming agency.
