Dr Mandy Mae Barnett

Dr Mandy M Barnett is a psychology graduate, clinical educator and retired consultant physician who worked for over 30 years in the NHS, and as an Associate Clinical Professor at Warwick Medical School (WMS) in the UK. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.

When Covid hit in March 2020, she became aware of a huge spike of cases of Tourette's Syndrome being reported in the press.

As the mother of two children (a young adult son and teenage daughter) who both have Tourette's Syndrome, and with her background in medicine and education, she realised that this was something she had a unique perspective on, and decided to write a guidebook for parents.

Completed in May 2022, 'It's NOT All About Swearing!' is timely, thoroughly researched but easy to read.
