Cynthia Matthews

Cynthia Matthews is a Memphis-based urban fiction author known for delivering raw, emotional, and unfiltered stories that feel as real as the streets that inspire them. Through her imprint, Matthews Publications, she brings powerful narratives to life—stories rooted in love, betrayal, loyalty, survival, and the hard lessons that come with them.

Her writing pulls readers into the room, making them feel every decision, every mistake, and every consequence as if they’re living it themselves. Whether it’s complicated relationships, street politics, or personal battles, Cynthia doesn’t sugarcoat reality—she tells it like it is.

With a signature style that blends grit, emotion, and real-life situations, her books resonate with readers who understand that life doesn’t always go as planned—and sometimes, the hardest lessons come from the people you trust the most.

When she’s not writing, Cynthia is building her other businesses and brand, creating new stories, and connecting with readers who appreciate authentic storytelling where truth and fiction collide.
