Evelyn Facio

I am a Native New Mexican who grew up in Albuquerque’s north valley. I served in the United States Army, both active duty and reserves. I have a handsome, talented son Fernando, a beautiful talented daughter-in-law Jen, and two beautiful talented grandchildren Cielo and Fernando Jr. I play guitar and love to sing. I have also acted, directed, and produced plays in community theater. I have a Master’s degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology.

I am a survivor. By the grace of God, I survived two addictions that caused me to make huge and ugly mistakes in my life. I now use those experiences to try to help others. I have been in recovery from alcoholism and from gambling for many, many years now. Also, by the grace of God, I survived breast cancer, and I am surviving the illness I got from breast implants. I wrote "My Boobs Almost Killed Me" with the hope that this story helps other women who find themselves in the same situation.

It is my hope that my new book, "ABCs For a 'Lit' Life," will help all who read it to live healthier, happier lives.
