Carol Purroy

Carol has worn many personas: wife/mom, re-entry student, teacher, psychotherapist, globetrotter, author, publisher, journalist, columnist, travel consultant, TV producer/host, disaster relief worker, community leader, et cetera.

What could be better preparation for a writer? When people ask, ‘Is there anything you can’t do?’ she answers, ‘I don’t know. I haven’t tried everything yet.’

Born on a humble dairy farm in the depth of the Great Depression, she has risen to great heights, both personally and professionally. Now in her 90s, she is grateful to have lived in the most exciting and amazing period in history. Her range of interests is far-reaching, which also broadens her perspective, adding realism and depth to her characters, settings, and stories.

Her books cross genre lines. She writes stories for children, young adults, adults, and older adults. She writes both fiction and nonfiction.

Her current project is The Nellie Cashman Trilogy – a historical fiction based on a true story. The first book of the trilogy will be released soon.

She promises to keep writing, publishing, and teaching as long as her brain functions and her fingers continue to flex.
