Paula Rooney

Paula Rooney has now written four relatable travel memories and is editing a fifth.

Her first trip, interrailing around Europe on her own aged 55, for a month was life changing in so many ways. Personally it was adjusting to life after a divorce and he's children becoming independent and this is where her writing career started. This book is called 'I hope there's a kettle in my room'.

She then walked the Camino de Santiago which took 36 days and at 57 was a physical challenge and something she is incredibly proud of. This book is called 'Odd poles and baggy trousers on the Camino de Santiago'.

Her third book led her to Andalucia for a month on her own where she thought through what Christmas means now her children have all flown the nest. This book is called 'Tinsel and Tapas, solo in Andalucia searching for Christmas'.

Her fourth book is called 'All around Morocco a five week solo adventure' and it was her most challenging trip yet. Navigating a new country with a very different culture.
