Tristan Howard

Tristan Howard is a research data specialist with a Master of Science in Geography. He has also worked as a university teaching assistant and environmental planner, and he created maps used to brief executive staff, including a California governor and a United States president. Howard grew up on a remote ranch that bordered a shield volcano and wilderness study area. In his teens, he made a wildlife documentary that aired on PBS and was awarded an Honorable Mention for Animal Behavior from the International Wildlife Film Festival. As a graduate student, he performed bighorn sheep policy research that was utilized by staff from the U.S. Forest Service and California Department of Fish and Wildlife. In his free time, Howard enjoys studying paleontology, exploring the wildlands of the American West, viewing wildlife, and making natural history documentaries.
