Our family lives in a small South Carolina town. I love writing against the backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains to our coastal waters. Writing is a gift —an opportunity to share imaginary worlds that provoke thoughts and new ideas.

I loved to write as a child. When troubled, I would retreat to a small desk in my room and write to my soul. I chased stories across the world, to the bottom of the sea, and across the Universe.

I have a three-decade career writing risk, intelligence, and vulnerability assessments within the government and private sectors. My passion for staying one step ahead of the adversary drove me to author RUBICON. An insider perspective of vulnerabilities motivated me to tell the story of the effects of asymmetrical warfare. It is the failure to imagine the context of asymmetrical warfare in the post 9/11 world that I fear most.

I am here with a story, RUBICON. The storyline is accurate —a small step of fiction. The world noted the dawn of the Atomic Age in the shadows of the towering mushroom clouds and blinding flashes of light, and society trembled in fear for generations. But the world little noted the dawn that may end all things. The morning of the cyberweapon slipped passed the sentries of history, little noticing the rising evil of nationalism. The clock is ticking.

RUBICON is the intelligence report you want to read before the next attack.
