Roz Read is the Course Director of the Integrative Child Psychotherapy MA training at The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE) in London, where she teaches and designs the curriculum. Roz began working in the arts as a dancer and then as an arts administrator before moving into youth and community work in east London. Combining her love of the arts with an interest in children and young people led her to training as an Integrative Child Psychotherapist at IATE. For the past 20 years, she has specialised in working with adoptive families firstly at Family Futures, then at PAC-UK and today works in private practice. She is a certified practitioner in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), and is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, bringing together her interest in attachment, trauma, dissociation, the body and the arts. Until 2019, she was also co-convenor of the Tavistock Centre's Neuroscience and Attachment Workshop.
'Contemporary Child Psychotherapy' (2022) which she co-edited with Dr Jeanne Magagna, is Roz's first book.
