Author of "Key West's Civil War - Rather Unsafe for a Southern Man to Live Here." and "Plymouth's Civil War - the Destruction of a North Carolina Town." The latter received the 2025 "Douglas Southall Freeman History Award" from the Military Order of the Stars & Bars, descendants of military officers & civilian officials of the American Confederacy.
