James Landers

Resurrection Militia is my second novel. Its premise derived from contemporary political extremism. Vanguard In The Gilded Age, my first novel, derived from a history book written by me, The Improbable First Century of Cosmopolitan Magazine, published several years ago by University of Missouri Press, a respected publisher of history books. Although a novel, it is a realistic look at life during the Gilded Age. My experiences as a stockyard worker, delivery truck driver, bank teller, military veteran, journalist, editor/co-publisher of a city magazine, and journalism professor contributed to writing this book. Happily married for forty-plus years, we are supporters of animal welfare organizations and have adopted over the years five cats and a dog.
