Alexis Donald

Alexis Donald, MD, born and raised in Memphis, TN, has ALWAYS been an avid reader growing up, requesting to go to the public library everyday in elementary school to always have a book to read. She wrote her first play in the 5th grade and her class loved it which inspired her to continue writing! Alexis decided she wanted to become a medical doctor at age 12 and focused all of her time to ensure that the dream would come true. She graduated as Valedictorian of her senior high school class as well as became the first person in her high school’s history to be awarded the Bill Gates Millennium Scholarship which paid for her undergraduate degree in Biology Pre-Med/ Chemistry Minor from THEE Jackson State University AND paid for her medical degree from Meharry Medical College. Through all of this, Alexis never stopped writing her books to inspire the younger generations to both pursue their dreams and use their imaginations! Alexis is finally making those books a reality for every child in the world to enjoy!
