Andrew Stelmack

Andrew is an artist in the truest sense of the word, having had a wonderful and successful career as an actor and singer, a visual artist, and now as a writer. While the bulk of his professional acting career was on the stage, playing lead roles in plays such as THE LION KING, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, LES MISERABLES, SEUSSICAL, SWEENEY TOOD, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, THE WIZARD OF OZ, PETER PAN and THE HOBBIT --to name but a few -- he also appeared in both TV and Film in productions including MURDOCH MYSTERIES, HEROES REBORN, CINDERELLA MAN, THE FIRM, QUEER AS FOLK, SUGARTIME and RELIC HUNTER.

In the early 2000s, Andrew decided it was time for a change and began to move away from the complicated life and travel of being an actor and embarked on a visual arts career. It has exceeded his wildest expectations. He regularly participates in art shows and exhibitions, is represented by numerous galleries, and his work is found not only in corporate and private collections around the world but also has been given as gifts to Ministers in Canada’s Parliament. While this is Andrew’s first novel, he is not a stranger to writing. In fact, after a long hiatus, he is thrilled to finally be putting his English degree in Theatre and Drama to work! He has two more novels and plays in development, including one for younger audiences.

Andrew now splits his time between his live/work studio in Toronto, Canada and his hometown Winnipeg. His May to October is spent at his beloved Victoria Beach where he blissfully paints and writes the warm summer months away.
