David Carlin King

David Carlin King, vocalist, pianist, composer, and arranger is one of America’s premier talents. His extensive music repertoire spans the gamut from his new hit show NEIL DIAMOND starring DAVID CARLIN KING to rock and roll and cool jazz. King’s work shines in the blues, to unforgettable pop and folk renditions, to his long-running Great American Music Show. Mr. King has performed both in the United States and in thirty-two countries around the world as a solo artist and as a member of various performing groups including ten USO tours. David has shared the stage with such greats as John Fogarty, Joe Perry, Winton Marsalis, Roberta Flack, Judy Collins, and an impressive list of many more. He has also performed for US Presidents and Foreign Dignitaries.

Besides being an award-winning entertainer, Mr. Kings has more than 50 years working alongside prominent celebrities from all walks of life including such luminaries as Oprah Winfrey, Bob Hope, Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush and Nancy Reagan. Mr. King divides his time between his performing career and heading up The Carlin Company as a much sought-after producer and director for film, conventions, trade shows, industrial shows, and live concerts. With his master’s degree in Music Composition and Theory, his professional career also includes jingles, songwriting, scoring, and music direction for some of the biggest stars in the industry.

His rise to the stage came at the age of eleven being chosen to star on PBS’s Music Enriches Life’s signature child artist program. At age eighteen, he was selected to be the music director in a show that would tour the world. After his return, David joined his brother in a group called The Fellowship where he would spend the next thirteen years on the road writing arrangements and finishing his degrees. After leaving the road, he founded The Carlin Company to expand his musical talents into show production and film making all while performing nightly in Washington DC’s premier entertainment venues.

David Carlin King resides on his eastern shore compound, Kingsbay. He lives and works together with his partner, Jerry Philpott who is the Director of Sales for The Carlin Company and their event venue Kingsbay Mansion. They adopted three family members as infants and have raised them as their own for the past thirty years.
