Karl M. King

Born in Middlesbrough, Karl has enjoyed writing all his life despite spending most of it working as a systems engineer within the railway industry.

A long time fan of science fiction, fantasy and murder mystery novels Karl sites authors such as Jim Butcher, Benedict Jacka, Steve McHugh, Justin Gustains, Laurell K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, Tanya Huff, Agatha Christie, Ruth Rendall, Ian Rankin and Reginald Hill as his main literary influences but has also been inspired by comics and graphics novels with manga artists including Hiromu Arakawa, Masashi Kishimoto and Gosho Aoyama being particular influences on his writing.

Karl now lives in Berkshire with his two children and their dog.
