Phillip Burgess is retired from a career spanning news media, corporate communications and government relations.
He was raised on a small farm in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, and it is there that he gets the inspiration for his short stories. He relishes the country life of his youth, and seeks to preserve it in his writing.
He is a graduate of The University of Alabama, and besides writing enjoys studying Native American culture.
He and his wife, Catherine, reside on the Mississippi Gulf Coast with their cats, Atticus Finch and Jean Louise.
