Book Maker

As a child we did not have much money, certainly not for a book, I loved to read and would spend my free time in the school library, reading anything I could get my hands on, which included encyclopedias. I kept this love for reading and write along with my love of the arts into adulthood.

As a mother of four children, life was very hectic at times, okay so who am I kidding with four kids life is always hectic lol, but I worked off and on, selling my artwork in one form or another.

Although I was born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada, we choose to move to Alberta, Canada, with our four children.

Within three years, I'd become a freshly divorced mother with four young mouths to feed.

My options were limited, but I managed to take a job waitressing in an old dinner and became caretaker in the apartment we moved to in the city. I managed to score a few scholarships for College, I enrolled in Visual Arts and Designs and I worked my backside off.

Although I'd had to stop waitressing, I was still the caretaker of our building and needed to care and provide for my kids.

I graduated three years later with honours, and a wonderful man that I had meet in college the first year there. We moved in together and became a family, he was and is my one and only, and has been an incredible father to our children.

I set aside my career for the next 15 years to be at home caring for our kids, always working on creating, painting and writing whenever I had time. Then, before I know it I am the Grandmother of twelve wonderful kids and life is still hectic lol

I guess it's time for me to do what I love to do and get busy making some new books
