Jean Mintoft

Hi everyone!

I'm Jean, an artist living in the UK. I love painting and drawing in oils, acrylics and pastels, sometimes watercolour, and coloured or graphite pencils. I also make felt artworks out of wool fibres. I have been seriously pursuing my art for several years. and I exhibit in various places around the south west of England,

Since my youth (a long time ago!) I have found art inspiring and spiritually uplifting, and since I have been a committed Christian for very many years, it seems natural to draw lessons for life from my artwork.... and I've leant very many lessons over the years, most of them the hard way! My art is a springboard for my devotional writing.

Our world is so beautiful and inspiring and I hope in all I do, whether by painting, drawing or writing, I will point to a creator who loves us dearly.

I have been in various roles in church leadership over the years, but teaching is my passion spiritually. One friend who has read "The Pilgrim Way" said as she read it, it felt like I (the author) was a kindly teacher with a smile!

Incidentally, when I was young, I wrote two children's Christian novels which were published, and I believe they can still be found as used copies! They are very simple and innocent compared with the material which children read these days, but hey, times change!
