Alessandro Battan

I was born in 1974 in Rome but I lived most of my life in Venice. My professional career began in 1996 in a studio of well known artists in the area of Italian comics. At the same time, I attended the Italian Walt Disney Company's Professional Academy. Shortly after I started to create my first strips which were published by an Italian newspaper, linked to the Gardaland Park, with excellent results.

Over the years this business has been growing considerably due to the support of established authors who taught me everything about the field of creativity (illustration, comics, graphic, digital and manual) and who helped me to refine my work in such a way as to make it interesting for international markets.

My experience is mainly targeted for children and teens, but recently I have developed (through the creation of projects for young) also a production capacity that fits well to more adult people. The reference stylistic models are several and differ in their painting technique, instruments and subjects.

Sono nato nel 1974 a Roma ma ho vissuto gran parte della mia vita a Venezia. La mia carriera professionale inizia nel 1996 in uno studio di noti artisti nel settore del fumetto italiano. Allo stesso tempo, ho frequentato l'Accademia Professionale della Walt Disney Company Italia con ottimi risultati. Poco dopo ho iniziato a creare le mie prime strisce che sono state pubblicate da un quotidiano italiano legato al Parco di gardaland.

Negli anni questa attività è cresciuta notevolmente grazie alle numerose collaborazioni ottenute con editori e aziende di settore, artisti affermati che mi hanno insegnato tutto sul campo della creatività (illustrazione, fumetto, grafica digitale e a mano) e che mi hanno aiutato ad affinare il mio lavoro in modo tale da renderlo più appetibile per il mercato internazionale.

La mia esperienza è principalmente rivolta ai bambini, ma recentemente ho sviluppato (attraverso la realizzazione di progetti per giovani) anche una capacità produttiva che ben si adatta a persone più adulte. I modelli stilistici di riferimento sono molteplici e si differenziano per tecnica pittorica, strumenti e soggetti.
