Steve Axman

Steve Axman published his first instructional football coaching book in 1976. Since then he has written 15 additional books that have helped thousands of coaches learn and hone in on the teaching and coaching of structural and technical offense. In 2021, Steve Axman published his first work of fiction titled Crossing the Goal Line. His second such novel, 3rd and Long; A Football Story is due out in 2022.

After receiving his two Masters Degrees (Social Studies Education and Physical Education), he began his coaching career at Freeport High School in New York. In 1974, he transitioned into coaching college football where he continued to work at various colleges. His love for writing began in high school when his teacher marked his paper in a red marker pushing him to become an accomplished writer.

Coach Axman resides in Gilbert, Arizona with his wife, Marie. He is lucky to live within ten miles of his four daughters and 7 grandchildren.
