Ross Doughty

Ross Doughty has a long association with diving and fishing, with thousands of scuba and free diving experiences in New Zealand and internationally. He won his first swimming race at five years of age and now at 80, is still a Masters Champion of New Zealand. He has travelled to more than 40 countries and written five books and more than 100 blokes’ stories for Bay Fisher magazine. He is a Life Member of the Tawa Swimming Club and Mount Maunganui Underwater Club.

Ross has a degree in English Literature from Massey University and a Master of Creative Writing from Auckland University, which received first-class honours. He lives near the sea in Auckland, New Zealand.
