Kim Herrlein

Kim Herrlein is the Chief Leisure Officer at Purveyors of Leisure, a boutique vacation rental management company operating in Greater Palm Springs, California. Kim’s interest in travel began at a young age when she spent holidays abroad in Europe, traveling with extended family and friends.

Rather than post up in hotels, her family chose to embrace the culture of the area and dine and shop like locals while temporarily residing at a magical poolside villa in the south of France, an enchanting Tuscan castle and vineyard, or an artsy Swiss chalet. Her love of travel, art and architecture, and design was ignited and more poignantly, a simple joy was sparked.

Motivated by creative endeavors, open-minded, and attracted to opportunistic timing, Kim said “Yes” to help manage a few design projects in the Greater Palm Springs area. Each property was unique in its design style, from Scandinavian to Moroccan, mid-century to modern; however, all had one element in common: they all were large homes with 6+ bedrooms and outfitted solely as a vacation rental. Designing stylish suitable spaces for families and friends to gather in large groups, fashioned as a boutique hotel in a private resort setting, was just the beginning. Providing 5-star service was a natural progression, and Purveyors of Leisure was born.

Purveyors of Leisure operates in three regions in California specializing in hosting groups of 16+ and managing larger properties. Guest Experience Officers, available 24/7, and Local Leisure Hosts provide top-notch services from kitchen stocking to private chefs,on-site massage, and yoga. Hosting family reunions, wellness retreats, and corporate offsites.

The Fainting Couch -Maximalist Boutique Hotel has been launched and welcoming travelers to Northern California's wine region on Cobb Mountain.
