D.S. Getson

D.S. Getson is the author of YA science fantasy and historical fiction. SLOW DAYS is her first picture book. The story was inspired by walks along the coast with her granddaughter. Her historical novel EARL, HONEY was also inspired by real life, as she grew up hearing snippets of Earl’s story whispered at family gatherings. Online research and interviews with relatives fleshed out the details of an extraordinary tragedy which the author then fictionalized “in between the lines.” The author is a graduate of Duke and Southern Methodist Universities.
