Sa k pase? Bonjour ! My name is Michaëlle Martial, best known as The Caribbean Nightingale. In 2020, I was a Guest Poet at US Presidential Campaign event in Salt Lake City. In 2022, I was commissioned to write and present a poem for the official Utah Juneteenth Festival at the Utah State Capitol steps which was one of the sites of the 2 Black men whose lynchings were the only ones recorded in the state’s history.

I am Haitian American, a Domestic Violence and trauma survivor, a Pan-African Poetess, multilingual Entrepreneur, and Woman Advocate. I'm passionate about a few things like languages, genealogy, volunteering, my children, my cats, and travel. However, poetry and cooking, are two of my favorite forms of artistic expression.
