Jesse Steinke

Jesse is a native of Mukwonago Wisconsin who grew up farming the family homesteads in Eagle and Mukwonago. He is eight generation pioneer descendent whos family the Sprague's and Bovee's first settled in Eagle in 1842/1843 respectively and was named after his Great Grandfather Jesse Sprague. His great great uncle Sidney Sprague was a photographer in the early 1900's and he has been working to preserve and share those photos with other photos of the area.

From this history he has great passion of preserving history and genealogy of his heritage and works tirelessly to research, organize, document, and preserve the details he finds for future generations.

In addition to the books he managers a Facebook Group "Descendants of the Pioneers of Eagle WI, where he connects descendants of the pioneers with the details he finds and shares.

He is a military engineering officer who has served in the United States Navy since 1997 and is currently in the Naval Reserve within the Naval Construction Force (Seabees). He is 11th generation United States military with the family serving in GWOT, Vietnam, WWII, WWI, 1812, 3 generations in the Revolution War, King Philips War, and the Massachusetts Milita going back to the 1630's.
