Sandra Moya

My name is Sandra Moya, and I was born on a hot summer day in august 1991. I live in Viladecans (Barcelona) with my partner and our animals, together we make up the Pollito family.

I studied Business Administration and Management until, at the age of twenty-seven, I changed the course of my life. I trained at the Cálamo&Cran academy to be an editor and, despite receiving my diploma from the European University of Madrid, I haven’t stopped learning about this profession. Although, more than a job, it is a passion.

My parents say I was born with a book under my arm. Maybe so because I wanted my future to be sur-rounded by books, words, and pages. However, I also enjoy—in my free time—video games, walks on the beach or watching any Disney movie.

In 2022, I published my first duology on mental health. In the novels Aurora and Pedro, I try to give voice and visibility to mental illnesses, since the protagonist and I both suffer from agoraphobia. The Last Walk (2024) is my last published work, a novel about animal grief, where I pay tribute to my life compan-ion—Cody—, who was by my side for sixteen and a half years.
