Lisa Davis

The Craft Ppl’s owner and designer, Lisa Davis, is a self taught doll maker using her own patterns and designs to create a unique style that delights both adults and children alike.

Over 20 years ago, inspired by her first niece, Lisa started using her talents and creativity to design and create dolls, decor and accessories as a way to supplement her income not imagining that this chosen path would lead her to full-time work as a toy maker. Her dolls and patterns are sold under the brand name, Knits & Hooks.

After making dolls for a while, Lisa decided to try her hand at some accompanying art and design especially to improve the look and feel of her patterns. As a result she studied Graphic Design at Masters Design Lab and also took quite a few short courses in illustration.

Currently, Lisa works out of her home studio in Kingston, Jamaica, and has expanded her range of products to include colouring pages, books and other artworks to help promote positive imagery.
