Barbara Kristof

Meili and Wenling is a team effort by Rosemary Woods, retired social worker in San Antonio, Texas, her sister Barbara Kristof, a retired editor and German teacher, and Barbara Kelley, an artist and photographer in San Antonio, who is also the owner of a San Antonio-based company called Edges of Art. The inspiration for Meili's story is the panda bear Molly, who came into Barbara Kristof's life through her daughter Elisabeth while they were living in Germany.
