Ted McKinney

Ted McKinney is the author/illustrator of Teddy Turtle Finds a Home. He has recently retired from a career as an elementary school teacher having spent many of those years in primary classrooms or teaching the Arts. Ted is a self-professed jack-of-all-trades with interests that range from gardening and home renovation projects, to barbershop singing and decorating cakes. Hikes along the north shore of Lake Superior and surrounding trails feed his love of animals and the outdoors. A father of two accomplished adult daughters,Ted lives in Northern Ontario with his wife, Cathy.
