Grace Marcus

My debut novel, Visible Signs, is a Best Women's Fiction, Best Historical Novel, and Best Debut Novel finalist in the 2022 American Writing Awards. An early version of Visible Signs was a semifinalist in the William Faulkner-William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition.

My work in progress is a bi-coastal upmarket contemporary novel featuring a pinhole camera photographer trying to put her life back into focus.

I hold a Master in Theatre Arts from Montclair University and have been an actress, waitress, social worker, newspaper editor, and radio and cable TV show producer to name a few of the byways on the road to becoming a writer. My work has been published in Philadelphia Stories, The Bucks County Writer Magazine, Adanna Literary Journal, TheWritersEye, Women on Writing, Me First Magazine, and Embark Literary Journal.

A Brooklyn native, I've lived on both coasts, and now call North Carolina home.
