Ernest Lancaster served as a cop with the Memphis Police Department for 33 years. Lancaster walked a downtown night beat, patrolled in ward cars and kept vigil over throngs of pilgrims to Elvis’s funeral. As a TACT Squad officer he protected presidents as well as foreign dignitaries. He also tamed a sniper rifle as a long-range marksman.
In Lancaster’s debut novel, THE JINX – published in 2018 by Fiery Seas Publishing – a police lieutenant struggles to absolve himself from a lethal curse, where an innocent dies at his unwitting hands at any seminal event he encounters. He races with fate to keep the jinx from creating catastrophe and claiming his own life.
