Jason Cvancara

Jason Cvancara was born in Fargo, North Dakota, and grew up across the United States and Europe in an Air Force family, an upbringing that gave him a global perspective and an early love of storytelling.

After high school, Jason enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and, over 26 years of service, rose to Chief Master Sergeant. Along the way he embraced what became his hallmark...his “Figure It Out” mentality...a philosophy he later turned into the Figure It Out book series to inspire others to tackle challenges head-on. He also served as a Phoenix Police Officer and now owns a private investigation business in Arizona.

The inspiration for The 918 Files comes directly from his investigative work and from his late mother, who taught him to stay skeptical but open-minded while always questioning, but never dismissing people outright. Jason’s books blend real-world investigative insight with gripping, mind-baffling mysteries designed to spark curiosity and keep readers hooked long after the last page.
