Jesse Donaldson is a historian, author and journalist whose work has appeared in VICE, The Tyee, The Calgary Herald, the WestEnder, the Vancouver Courier, and many other places. His first book, This Day In Vancouver, was a finalist for the Bill Duthie Booksellers’ Choice Award (BC Book Prizes). He is currently the author/editor for the Anvil Press series 49.2: Tales From the Off Beat, an exploration of the strange and unexplored corners of city history, and his books regularly appear on the BC Bestseller list. He lives in Mt Pleasant, Vancouver, two blocks from a psychedelic pub and a Catholic kitsch bar.
