Mark Lamb (CPA- Ret.) graduated with honors from Texas Tech University with a BBA degree, majoring in accounting, and was recruited by Ernst and Young - Houston, where he practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for seven years, with a base of clients in the oil, gas, energy and maritime transportation industries.
For the past 35 years, his career work has focused on international business development projects and responsibilities. working with international and domestic companies in the maritime industry. He has held board membership and executive positions with maritime industry associations, including the American Waterway Operators Association and the Texas Waterway Operators Association. He represented the US inland maritime industry at federal and state levels during the enactment of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990. He also worked closely with environmental interest groups to develop solutions for various marine operation challenges in the US Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. He is a member of the World Affairs Council, Rice Baker Institute Roundtable, The Hemingway Society, Asia Society-Texas, and attended the Rice University - Baker Institute Masters of Global Affairs Program in 2015. In semi-retirement, Mark provides business development consulting services to international maritime operators, working from his home base in Houston, Texas.
