Graham S. Clarke

I have been a visiting fellow in the Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies department of the University of Essex since 2005. I did my PhD at the University of Essex on Fairbairn’s 'psychology of dynamic structure' after taking an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies at the Tavistock in 1995. I was lead editor on 'Fairbairn and the object relations tradition' (Karnac, 2014). I have published two other books 'Personal relations theory' (2006) which has been translated into German and published as 'Theorie persönlicher Beziehungen' (Psychosozial-Verlag, 2017) and 'Thinking Through Fairbairn' (2018). I have published papers on psychoanalysis in the IJPA , the British Journal of psychotherapy, ATTACHMENT and the Journal of the British Association of Psychotherapists.

My first degree was in Architecture and I have an MA in the Applications of Computing and worked in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Essex from 1986 to 2005.
