I was born in Adelaide, South Australia, in 1963 and I still live here. A few things have happened in between:
I spent a couple of years living in London as child (with my brother and parents) in 1970-71. My memories revolve around being at school and the awful school dinners. I returned as an adult in the early 90s where my experience revolved around teaching at school and going to the pub for lunch - clearly I hadn't developed much in the intervening 20 years.
Apart from having a Degree in Education, which hasn't been used since 1997, I've worked as an advertising copywriter most of my professional life. I've been freelancing since 2002, working remotely 17 years before it became fashionable.
When I'm not writing for clients (or for me), I play lawn tennis in warmer months, and watch AFL (Australian rules football) in cooler months. I like coffee at cafes, my music playlist, true-crime podcasts, and playing bad guitar. Oh, and I even enjoy my garden... wow, am I that old.
