Alan N. DeCarlo is a retired American physician. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases and an Emeritus Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. In addition he has a Masters Degree in Medical Management. He spent twenty-five years in clinical practice both in Southampton, New York and Knoxville Tennessee and four years as a Hospital Vice President overseeing the Southampton Hospital medical staff. When he retired he did volunteer work for East End Hospice in Westhampton, New York and became a member of its Board of Directors. He now lives in North Carolina with his wife, Laura where he continues to write and enjoys boating, fishing, and golf.
