Why have I written a book? The story begins in 1991 when, newly returned to activity as a consultant psychiatrist in the National Health Service (I had spent much of my career in psychiatry on research) I met a hypnotherapist who had been using spirit release to free people from invading entities. This was way outside the accepted practice of psychiatry, but it interested me, and I invited him to offer treatment to some of my hospital patients. He impressed me, and I decided to train in a related technique used by two psychologists in the U.S.A. I then used spirit release effectively at Fairfield Hospital, near London. I continued the work with considerable success in the National Health Service from 1992 to 1997, when my NHS employer, refused to sanction its use because it was not officially approved. After leaving the N.H.S. I used spirit release in my private practice. As a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists I also gave lectures on spirit attachment to their Spirituality Special Interest Group. These were well received.
