Rodney Walker teaches Political Science and Critical Thinking at the high school and university levels. He has a background in Journalism, Politics, and World History. His travels have taken him to London, where he interned with the BBC and lived with a British host family, and North Africa where he taught English and edited an academic magazine at an institution of higher learning. Walker has published articles for college campus newspapers and magazines. He enjoys spending time with his family, teaching, traveling and writing. He published his first novel, “Destiny’s Spear '' after three years of research and later completed “Mr. Gunderson’s Home Economics,” a novella based upon a true story of a girl from Hampton Roads. It has been subject to a book review in the Tidewater Women magazine/blog. He recently established a non-profit organization called “First-Landing Festivals'' which was dedicated to orchestrating an amphibious reenactment of a historic pre-colonial beach landing in Hampton Roads. Walker looks forward to writing relevant books of both fiction and nonfiction for a millennial generation.
