Hi, I've been teaching in English independent schools for about twenty years. They are quirky, challenging, full of weird ancient customs and all of them take themselves far, far too seriously; and I love them for it.

Like Henry Dance I've had a stint at being of cover teacher and Henry's first book is based on that experience. There is nothing on this earth like an independent school common room. Rivalry, intrigue, affairs, politics, compassion and generosity all find their place on the overstuffed sofas.
