Jo Moseley is a bestselling award winning author, short filmmaker, beach cleaner, speaker and freelance creative.
In 2019, aged 54, Jo became the first woman to SUP coast to coast 162 miles from Liverpool to Goole, fundraising and picking up litter. A film about her challenge Brave Enough - A Journey Home to Joy has been screened at prestigious film festivals such as Kendal Mountain Film Festival, Keswick Mountain Festival and Shextreme. Jo is the host of The Joy of SUP - the Paddleboarding Sunshine Podcast where she shares wonderful stories of paddleboarding and all the health, happiness and possibilities it brings.
She is a proud Ambassador for Seaful Charity and writes for SUP Mag UK.
Stand Up Paddleboarding in Great Britain was her first book - a love letter to SUP, the beautiful places she visited with her board Grace and the incredible community who shared their hearts and special places with her.
In her second book, Stand Up Paddleboarding in the Lake District, Jo returned to Cumbria where she took her first lesson in 2016, sharing the magic of this stunning area, with tips on where to eat, stay, permits, launch locations, bio security and permits. This book won the Lakeland Book Awards Zeffirellis Guides and Places Award 2025.
Having written about ‘where’ to paddleboard, Jo decided to turn her attention to the ‘who’ and ‘why’ and the physical, mental, social and emotional benefits of SUP. A collection of 25 personal essays, combined with wellbeing research and a valuable resource section, Adventures on the Water - The Power of Paddleboarding to Change Lives is the first of its kind. It is a truly inspiring and encouraging read and will leave you feeling excited for your own SUP adventures.
Jo is so proud to introduce the incredible paddlers and places to you. She looks forward to seeing you on the water!
