Andrew Dolloff is a 35-year veteran of public schools, starting his career as a high school chemistry teacher before making the transition to school leadership in 1995. He has served as a high school principal and superintendent of schools throughout the Portland, Maine region. In 2021, Andrew was named Maine’s Superintendent of the Year, which followed his recognition in 2020 as the New England League of Middle Schools’ Outstanding Superintendent. He was awarded the Outstanding Leadership Award by the Cumberland County Superintendents’ Association in 2017 and was named Maine’s High School Principal of the Year in 2004. Andrew has led two school districts that have been recognized for high performance and greater efficiency, with three different schools that have earned National Blue Ribbon recognition.
Andrew has served on the International Advisory Board for the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Principals’ Center and as a board member at the New England School Development Council. He also sits on the advisory board for the University of Southern Maine’s Educational Leadership program, where he is a lecturer of Educational Leadership, School Finance, and Contemporary Issues in Education.
Andrew’s wife, Brenda, is also an educator of more than 35 years. They have four grown children.
