Philip A. Matthews

In January, 1970, as a freshman at USC, I left the ranks of teen rebellion and atheism to become a true believer in God and the Messiah, Jesus Christ. I had heard Him speak to me and reveal to me that He loved me--when I was trying so hard to believe He wasn't real! Since that time I have been doing everything within my power to help other people see how much God loves them, how much trust, submission, and love they owe Him in return, and how much happiness, blessedness, and satisfaction such a mutual relationship with the Lover of our souls actually brings.

Meanwhile, I married a girl who met the Lord not long after I did, who loved Him radically like I did, so off we went doing our exploits for God and His Kingdom. Youth ministry, pastoring, church planting, counseling, Christian schooling, songwriting, music producing, and everything else God brought our way over the last 50 years. And we managed to squeeze in seven kids who have produced 22 grandkids! Although I lost that girl this January 1, 2022, after 49 years of marriage, she lives on in each of us, and this book is dedicated to her.
