Ellen van Herk

I was born in 1967 in Rotterdam and have been writing stories for as long as I can remember, but always as a hobby. However, since my husband Ralph and I bought a second home in 2014 in the hills of the Eastern Algarve, I got so much inspiration that my fingers started to itch. My first book was published in 2017, now I am working on number 16. All books are in Dutch, and are set in Portugal. My second novel, Thuis in de Algarve, has now also been translated into English and is available under the title At home in the Algarve. Through my books I try to give everyone a pleasant and exciting time, let them enjoy the Portuguese atmosphere and give an insight into the culture and customs of this wonderful country!
