George Gray studied Interior Design in Glasgow, Scotland. He was awarded a traveling scholarship to Italy by the British Institute of Interior Design which gained him the Freedom of the City of London.
He has worked as a design consultant for over 30 years in Europe, Middle East and Asia and also as a volunteer with the Thai Government’s Fine Arts Dept., helping to restore ancient monuments in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ayutthaya. Following this passion for history, George now teaches design students History of Art, Architecture and Design and has written this book as the first in a series.
George has been in Southeast Asia since 1988 and now lives in Malaysia with his wife and daughters. In his spare time, he practices the ‘gentle art’ of Aikido.
