Trisha Foote

Hi I'm Trisha and Gospel in a Nutshell is my first published book. I have written for as long as I can remember and I enjoy both fiction and non-fiction writing. Over the years I have published articles in several magazines including Woman Alive and Amateur Gardening. Gospel in a Nutshell started many years ago as a desire to show children the Bible wasn't just a collection of stories but that God had a purpose and a plan for everyone. I attempted to write it but it ended up in a drawer where it stayed for nearly thirty years. The idea for the book was always in my sub conscious and in the second lock down, the title came to me and I decided to give it another go. With the help and encouragement of friends and my publisher it came into being. It brings all the threads of my life together, my love of writing, young people (I've worked for most of my working life with children) and my Christian faith. It is illustrated by Kate Hobbs who is the granddaughter of my publisher. We are now working on a second book in the series called Puzzling Passages. It's all very exciting!

As well as writing, I enjoy walking in the countryside, spending time with family and friends, reading and eating - especially cake!
