After studying computer science at the Free University of Berlin, Sebastian Lempert worked for more than 15 years as a research assistant at the Fraunhofer IIS Center for Applied Research on Supply Chain Services, successfully acquiring, managing and handling a large number of publicly funded research and development projects as well as those directly commissioned by industry partners, always focusing on the topics of the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 and digital transformation. During this time, he completed his doctorate as an external PhD student at the Otto Friedrich University of Bamberg in the field of business informatics, developing a software-based method for evaluating and selecting the most suitable IoT software platform for a company-specific IoT use case from a set of candidates. As of February 2022, Sebastian Lempert accepted the appointment as Professor of Business Informatics at IU International University.
